10 Questions to Ask Before You Work 72 Hours This Week

In fact, these are some very valid questions every corporate employee should ask.

1. Why should I work more than 40 hours a week if I’m on a fixed salary and it says so in my employee contract?

2. Why is it my fault if the country is not developing, and if so is it really because I don’t work 40 hours a week?

3. Why am I made to feel guilty for leaving the office by 6 pm when the same company won’t hesitate to replace me with AI?

4. Why is my working 13 to 14 hours a week glorified, but asking for a raise berated?

5. Why does management keep saying “we are family” yet frown when I want to spend time with my “actual” family?

6. Even if I have nothing, NOTHING, to do on Sunday, why can’t I just lay in bed or chill instead of working for no extra money?

7. Why doesn’t HR reveal salary bands and not allow us to discuss our salaries with each other if we want? (Seriously ask this question)

8. Who the hell is my manager or colleague to comment on what I do on Saturday and Sunday?

9. If the only way to become a manager is to work more than 12 hours a day, do I even want to become a manager? Or, do I want to sacrifice my physical and mental health on the promise of a promotion?

10. Doesn’t Narayan Murthy look like Gollum from Lord of the Rings?

Be honest.
